Timothy Mayfield
My name is Timothy Mayfield. I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor-Supervisor (LPC-S). I have been a licensed counselor in Arkansas since 2014, after graduating from Arkansas State University with an EdS in Mental Health Counseling, and am currently pursuing a PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision at the University of the Cumberlands. I have worked in a variety of mental health settings since 2007, including residential, community mental health, college counseling, agency, and private practice. I have worked with a variety of issues, including ADHD, anxiety, depression, abuse, trauma, and my passion is working with survivors of domestic abuse and/or intimate partner violence. My approach is a hybrid of Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT) and Person-Centered Therapy (PCT). I'm sarcastic, direct, warm, and have a dry sense of humor. There is no judgment on my part for what someone has been through. My part is to be an ally on a collaborative journey for a better you. You deserve to be treated with dignity and respect. Be proud of yourself for looking for help, knowing that you deserve help, never be ashamed of asking for help, and let's work on you.
