Lindsey Mitchell

Hello, I'm Lindsey Mitchell. I graduated from Arkansas State University with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology in 2008 and earned my Specialist Degree (Ed.S.) in Mental Health Counseling in 2010. I  have been a licensed therapist for over 15 years and have extensive experience providing compassionate, evidence-based care to individuals and families throughout Arkansas. I believe that every person deserves to feel heard, understood, and empowered. I take a collaborative, individualized approach to counseling, recognizing that no two people or life experiences are the same. My therapeutic style integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), Person-Centered Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy to help clients develop practical skills, gain insight, and create lasting change. Throughout my career, I have worked with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, ADHD, mood disorders, relationship challenges, life transitions, and family concerns. I am passionate about helping adults navigate life’s difficulties while building resilience, improving emotional well-being, and creating healthier relationships. I have spent 12 years providing school-based counseling services, working with children, adolescents, and families. This diverse background has given me a deep understanding of the unique challenges people face throughout different stages of life. I strive to create a welcoming, nonjudgmental environment where clients feel safe enough to be authentic, explore difficult emotions, and move toward healing. I believe meaningful change begins when people feel supported, accepted, and empowered to take the next step in their journey. Outside of the office, I enjoy spending time with my husband and our two children, traveling, exploring new places, playing sports, and coaching my daughter’s travel softball team. I also loves spending time with my two dogs and making memories with my family.
